Jill Halfpenny - 1/5
Julian Clary - 6/1
Denise Lewis - 10/1Julian Clary continues to defy the odds and finds himself in the final of Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. One shrewd William Hill customer placed £50 at 40/1 on Julian Clary to win Strictly Come Dancing before the show even began and now stands to make £2000, if Clary wins the final this weekend. Jill Halfpenny remains the hot favourite at 1/5 with Denise Lewis the outsider at 13/2.

"I understand that the BBC are concerned by the number of multiple votes that they are receiving for Julian Clary, perhaps they are friends of our £2000 man." said Hills spokesman Rupert Adams

Latest Hills prices: 1/5 Jill Halfpenny, 11/2 Julian Clary, 13/2 Denise Lewis

This Saturday sees the eighth and final episode of Strictly Come Dancing 2, and there are just three contestants remaining.

There will be two shows on Saturday evening. In the first one, each of the couples will perform one Latin dance followed by one Ballroom dance. Denise and Ian will do a samba followed by a quickstep, as will Julian and Erin. Jill and Darren will begin with a jive and then follow this up with a foxtrot.

All three then take part in a Viennese Waltz to end the first show. The votes will then be calculated and the second show will open with the news of who finished in their place. It will then be left to the remaining pairs to go head to head in a show dance.

As far as the odds are concerned, there is no real bet of value. Jill has been the favourite throughout, as she has consistently displayed genuine ability and barring a mishap, she will probably be the best dancer on the night once again. 1/5 is not especially appealing about her prospects though, and there is always a sneaky suspicion that when one person has been a favourite for so long, perhaps the public will turn against her at the final hurdle.

However this was also a suspicion in the first series, but Natasha came good when it counted and won through as everybody involved felt she deserved.

We do not hold out much hope for the others then. Julian, who is 6/1 to win, has really entered into the spirit of the programme and has proved popular with the public, but not nearly as much as Jill. And Denise was superb last week, but her popularity has not been consistent and the 10/1 about her winning is not worth taking.
