Former Chase pupil Katie Love has been enjoying some peace and quiet and a return to reality after narrowly missing out in the final of BBC One’s So You Think You Can Dance?

The 24-year-old dazzled both judges and audience alike as she performed six dances in Saturday’s live final, where she finished third behind tapdancer Matt Flint and jazz dancer Luke Jackson.

Katie just one step away from TV triumph

Worcester's favourite dancer could be crowned Britain’s favourite dancer tonight.

Katie Love is one of just four dancers to make it to the final of So You Think You Can Dance? who will be competing for the title Britain’s Favourite Dancer – and a £50,000 prize – on BBC One tonight. But with the amount of support Miss Love has received from her home town already, it is clear she is already Worcester’s favourite dancer.

Dancing sensation Katie Love has battled her way through to the final of TV talent show So You Think You Can Dance?

The 24-year-old, who is originally from Rushwick, near Worcester, was given a standing ovation by the judges on Saturday night following her performance of a contemporary routine with tap dancer Matt Flint.

After finding herself in the danger zone last week, Worcester dancer Katie Love needs your votes to get her one step closer to the finals of So You Think You Can Dance?

The judges chose to save Katie last week after the public were left unimpressed by the Broadway routine she performed with dance partner Lee C, who was voted off the show along with Danielle, Rithy and Shane.

We’re backing Katie all the way

This group of young performers will be supporting a Worcester dancer as she battles it out for her place in a television competition.

The members of WODYS – Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Youth Society – will tonight be voting for former member Katie Love, who has made it into the final 20 of BBC One’s So You Think You Can Dance?

Miss Love, aged 24, will be dancing for her spot in the competition but needs people to vote to keep her in the running.

SYTYCD 2 - Meet Katie Love

Contemporary dancer Katie currently lives in Sidcup but is originally from Worcester. She is 24 and has always been experimental with her hair and loves her new pink look, she says it adds to her rock chick image.

She used to be a tomboy and says "I'm not a girly girl into beauty regimes or pampering, I'll be happy chilling with the lads." She says she has never been a "socialite or the cool one" and is happier at home with a cup of tea!
