Axed Charlene vows to continue ice skating

Axed Dancing on Ice contestant Charlene Tilton has vowed to continue skating, after being voted off the show last night in week five of the competition. Before taking part, the former Dallas star admitted that she was feeling a little apprehensive about swapping her Stetson for ice skates, commenting: “I do have to toughen up as I don't like the cold and I'm a big sissy! I'm not a physical, athletic person at all, so this is really out of my comfort zone.”

But she took to the ice like a duck to water, and soon found herself whirling around with professional partner Matthew Gonzales – and amazing the audience and the judges with her flexibility. If only we could do splits like that...

Charlene admits she was in agony on DOI

Charlene Tilton has battled with a torn shoulder muscle during her five weeks on Dancing on Ice. The injury has left her arm so weak that she is unable to open doors.

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been trying to work out routines that she could manage with her injury. She is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Had it gone on any more I think I could have injured my shoulder more. It's had no chance to heal.

Charlene Tilton admits it was the "perfect" time for her to leave 'Dancing On Ice'.

The former 'Dallas' actress was voted off of the ITV1 show last night (05.02.12) and while she was sad to go, she thinks it was the right time because she had been plagued by an injured shoulder throughout the duration of the celebrity skating competition.

Charlene Tilton exits Dancing on Ice

Charlene Tilton became the fifth celebrity contestant to be voted off the new series of Dancing on Ice on Sunday night. The Dallas star, named "the Queen of the skate-off" by show host Phillip Schofield, found herself in the bottom two with Sam Nixon following the result of the public vote.

Tilton took to the ice first with pro partner Mattew Gonzales to reprise their routine to Lady GaGa's Poker Face and gave a lacklustre performance.

Charlene tipped to skate to Lady Gaga

Dancing on Ice star Charlene Tilton will reportedly be skating to Lady Gaga this Sunday. The 53-year-old actress hinted that she had a surprise line-up for fans this weekend.

Speaking on This Morning her professional partner Matthew Gonzalez told Holly Willoughby: "We are really excited about this weekend, it's something very exciting and something a lot of fun for the both of us. "I would definitely say you want to tune in."
