I want to start a skating academy

This week I finished my brief five-show stint on the Dancing On Ice tour which has marked the end of an illustriously average skating career that saw me fall over a few times and become king of the lifts.

But when considering if I’d ever put the skates on again, up until very recently I’d have said ‘I’ll probably take the kids every now and again.’ That was until I discussed the viability of making more of my experience on DOI with my coach Rob.

Jeff Brazier happy with DOI exit

Jeff Brazier is happy he made it to the top five on 'Dancing On Ice' before he was booted out.

The 31-year-old TV presenter - who was eliminated from the ITV1 show on Sunday night (13.03.11) - revealed his aim throughout the competition had been to make it to the final five, although he is gutted he won't be a full time member of the tour.

Jeff's Torvill and Dean fear

Jeff Brazier was terrified of Dancing On Ice's Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean.

The 31-year-old TV presenter - who was eliminated from the ITV1 show on Sunday night (13.03.11) - admitted the Olympic champion skating duo have an "air of gaffer-ness" about them, and former contestant Elen Rivas should have been more respectful of their skills.

Jeff was on 'a hiding to nothing'

Last night Jeff Brazier ended up in the Dancing on Ice skate-off and despite giving his best performance of the series, he just couldn’t compete with the skills of Sam Attwater and the judges sent him packing.

Jeff told current DOI champ Hayley Tamaddon: “I’m half disappointed, half relieved in a way. “Going up against Sam, you’re kind of on a hiding to nothing.

Jeff feeling blue after slipping up on DOI

Jeff Brazier made history after becoming the first ever male contestant on Dancing on Ice to perform the float spin tonight – but he was left feeling disheartened after receiving a mark of just 21.5 from the judges.

The TV presenter and his professional ice partner Isabelle Gauthier - who work charming matching blue outfits - performed a routine using a table and chairs as part of Props Week, to the hit We Can Work It Out.

Jeff to join Dancing On Ice tour

Jeff Brazier has reportedly been asked to perform on several of the Dancing On Ice tour shows. The TV presenter had previously admitted that he was gutted not to be in the line-up revealed by show bosses.

However, it was confirmed that Brazier and his professional partner Isabelle Gauthier will perform at five shows in Newcastle and Birmingham next month.

Team Laura triumph in group performance

Dancing on Ice saw Team Sam and Team Laura battling it out in the first team performances of the series, and in the end Laura Hamilton’s side won out to all double their scores on tonight’s show - and potentially save themselves from elimination.
The members of the winning team were set to have their individual scores from the judges doubled.  Judge Robin explained beforehand that it had to be the three couples working together, and not just giving individual performances. So which would triumph?
