Angela Rippon and Nadia Sawalha have missed out on a place in the main Dancing on Ice 2011 contest after being voted out in the preliminary heats.

The veteran newsreader and the TV presenter had been among eight celebrity skaters competing in the first show of the series to win one of six places in the main contest.
