Davro ordered to lose weight

Comedian Bobby Davro has been reportedly been told to lose weight before he takes to the rink for the new series of Dancing On Ice.

The 50-year-old - who also starred in EastEnders - has vowed to change his eating habits in order to shed half a stone, according to The Sun.

On Boxing Day he wrote on his Twitter page: "Everyone a little jaded after Xmas Day celebrations. Start the diet today.

"Gotta lose half a stone by the first DOI show on the 10th Jan. Willpower required!"

And it appears Davro isn't the only one worried about how he will look on the ice. Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon has admitted that she frets just seeing the trailer for the progamme on TV.

"The more I see the advert, the less I eat," she said. "My costumes are so skimpy. No more chocolate now, that's it."

Meanwhile, former Holby City star Jeremy Sheffield has emerged as the early favourite to win the series. The 43-year-old is thought to be at an advantage, as he is a trained dancer who has performed with the Royal Ballet.

"The other celebs know Jeremy will be leaps and bounds ahead of them," an insider told The Sun.

"Judge Jason Gardiner has already said how well he thinks Jeremy will do so it looks like he's going to be the one to beat."
